I can't believe you are a big "colleger" now! I am so excited for you and all of the experiences and opportunites you are going to have. It already sounds like you are getting into the swing of things! Last night I was doing some Alpha Phi stuff at the Freshmen Club Fair- and I thought to myself, "oh these freshmen are so little!" and then I said, "oh my heck, Cara is one of these little fresmen!" Don't ever think you are alone- there are little freshmen all over the country!! I love you so much.

After a night of waitressing!

Last night was my official last day of work! It has been quite a week- I returned from Cedar to find a message on my voicemail asking me to come in to waitress at night and still work the front desk in the mornings. (I now realize what it is like to be a "grown-up" and have to just suck it up when you are tired!) While I have eaten out a few times (ha ha) I have never waitressed before and have never really even had a desire to! It was an experience. I only did it for a week, but last night the other waitress was sick- so I was all on my own. The night started off to a rocky- the chef started part of the outdoor kitchen caught on fire- oops. I came to work to find smoke and water everywhere- I had a glimmer of hope that maybe we would not open. Wrong. Very wrong. My GM said, "I hope you dont think this is going to keep us from opening-(in 45 minutes)." No- of course not. Why would I ever think that?!

Family! I miss you so much already- yesterday was a long day at work and it was weird not to have a family to come home to afterwards! I can't wait to see you all in November.

I am so glad that "the cousins" were able to get together! I had a blast and a half with everyone!

We went to a little petting zoo in Springdale- which had elk, sheep, and long horn cattle! I decided I am really really not an animal person!

My dad and I went on the Observation Point Hike- it was amazing! I feel so blessed to have all of these gorgeous surroundings so close to me!

Alicia Get Your Gun

Yesterday one of my friends took me shooting- I had never shot a gun and he thought that was a disgrace! I shot two different black powder guns. It was quite the experience. I was not really trying to aim at anything- I was just trying to shoot the gun. (Don't worry I was aiming at a hill- just not an official target!)

Work!

I absolutely love work! I have had the opportunity to work the front desk but the other day I was able to work a morning shift in the kitchen and then a night shift at the front desk! It was a long day but I had so much fun (and learned a lot)! I love learning all of the "behind the scenes" things!
